Wausau Tile is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative for one our South Central Territories, including the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

THE JOB

  • Achieve sales revenue goals by acquiring new customer accounts
  • Represent Wausau Tile’s five business units, including interior and exterior product lines
  • Cultivate strong business relationships with Landscape Architects, Architects, General Contractors, Sub-Contractors, and Installers
  • Build a qualified pipeline through a variety of lead generation strategies
  • Uncover the value perceptions of buyers to highlight how Wausau Tile products can meet customer expectations
  • Communicate with prospective customers to understand and interpret technical requirements and explain types of products and options provided by Wausau Tile
  • Gain competitive intelligence to ensure the best offer is presented
  • Follow up on proposals and negotiate as needed
  • Amend orders as required, validate delivery schedules and shipment methods, and provide any customer support needed in the processing of the order
  • Communicate with customers to verify satisfaction with product and to resolve any complaints or concerns
  • Track opportunity funnel in Salesforce
  • Service and retain existing customer accounts
  • Keep customers informed of new products, services, and other general information of interest to customers
  • Assist in customer communications to collect payment as needed

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of Outside Sales Experience
  • 5+ years of construction materials background
  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets
  • Position requires daily travel within designated territory with overnight stays as required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

THE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Valid divers license
